Representation

 On the film “To All the Boys I’ve loved Before”Lara Jean, the main character,  represents a teenagers who’s is just now discovering her feelings,who  is too shy to open up to others.Her shyness is multiple times supported by her behavior when surround by people, she constantly closes her chest and crosses her hands making her look smaller.her shyness is also supported by the five love letters wrote, to five different boys she has fallen in love with; she has never sent the letters because she is too afraid of others finding out about her feelings.


Her older sister Margot represents her comfort zone, the only person who she feels one hundred percent comfortable around.However after Margot leaves for college Lara Jeane struggles a lot with finding someone to help her with all the struggles a teenage girl has to deal with.




The five love letter represent the the changing in tool in Lara Jeane’s life. As the five letters were sent to all five boys, lara Jean must exit out of her comfort zone, and understand that she has to socialize with others.As the letters are sent and Lara jean is forced to socialize she starts to develop connections with others on her surrounding.
